Only 2 home wins in the 1st round of 11 games, and both of those to highly fancied sides, Betis and Rayo.

The other relegated sides Numancia and Recreativo both had good away wins, and of the promoted sides only Cartagena won (1-0 at Girona, thanks to a missed penalty by the Catalans)

No, not the best.

After all the pre-season expectation they failed to deliver in the first real test. Not to make excuses but I hate those Canal+ 12 noon kick offs. Although it's the same for both sides it is far too hot at that hour to expect a normal game.

Although Huesca were the better side both goals were highly fortunate.

If you take a look at the video on the Marca page
http://www.marca.com/2009/08/30/futbol/2adivision/1251635187.html

The first goal is a blatant hand ball (minute 1:27 on the video) and the second will surely be the most ludicrous penalty decision awarded this season, by a referee consistently considered to be Spain's worst.
