Well, a not very convincing win by Barça but it's three points in the bag and we're top, so the pressure's on Madrid to beat Sevilla.

The best thing about last night's game was Pedro's goal - marvellous! - the cantera has produced yet another superstar!

Very defensive tactics from Almeria - a man on Xavi and Iniesta at all times - Barça are going to have to get used to that as the season progresses!

Sevilla 2 Real Madrid 1

Ha!

Watched this game, Sevilla deserved to win by a far more comforatable margin. If it was not for Casillas and some dodgy finishing it could have been a record defeat for the girls in white. Some Rangers fans watched the game with me and realised that their defeat in the Champions League was now put in perspective !

Tend to agree. Navas was brutal!

It was Madrid's first real test and they failed.

But hats off to Sevilla - with very little investment (I read in Mundo Deportivo that the whole Sevilla side cost 30 million less than Cristiano Ronaldo) they just get better.
